The development of this page was made possible by Katherine Watters, and of course the former Lord Mayor of Belfast who was also very instrumental in Tigers-Bay.com being able to receive regular updates on events organised by Groups/Clubs with-in Duncairn Community Centre.
For years I’d always been made to believe that Duncairn Community Centre was a bit like a Private Club but the last year has shown me, a different side to Duncairn Community Centre than one, I had been led to believe existed. The Duncairn Community Centre seems on the outside as a Closed Shop. It’s only when you look more closely that you realise this isn’t the case and in fact Katherine Watters aided by Mr David Murphy and the Duncairn Community Centre’s Main Committee have to date made some fantastic steps towards rebuilding the trust, that many in the community loosed. It should be noted that the Community Policing Team that covers Tigers Bay has for a number of years made possible a number of trips by providing transport. The Duncairn Senior Citizens I believe have previously benefited from such transport laid on by the Community Policing Team. Now I have to admit here, I think this is absolutely excellent, at the same time, I have to admit it’s the kind of good news one loves to hear.
Full Listings of Events scheduled can be found on Tiger's Bay Bulletin Board.

Tigers Bay is like many communitites throughtout Northern Ireland, the Heart of Tigers Bay is the Duncairn Community Centre a hive of activity, with Events organised for the Young & Senior Citizens a like. Duncairn Community Centres Staff are both Welcoming and Friendly. It's a credit also to the Volunteers who work alongside Belfast City Council Staff & the Community itself
Duncairn Community Centre is home to local Senior Citizen Group. Duncairn Senior Citizens.Thursday 7pm-9pm Events at the centre. Keep up to date by visiting the Bulletin Board.

Rumors have it that the Duncairn Community Centre may have Independant Status a lot sooner than many imagined. This of course saddens me but at the same time I'm aware if it's what the Community wants, then it seems enevitable that it will happen. I guess it'll only be a matter of time before them interested in taking over the running of the Community Centre make theirself known to the Community, instead of holding under the table talks.

If two groups can't get on - Protestants and catholics - then how can multiple diversities get on
Tigers-Bay.com was established in the year of our Lord 2007, since it’s development in 2007 it has stood as a living Memorial to my Late Father William McBurnie, who saw many changes in Tiger’s Bay throughout his life and reminisced with me fondly, not only stories of the Bay but amazing stories also of Ulster, which was instrumental in the Webmaster developing www.ulsterni.com and bringing a whole new concept in Web Design.
For The People By The People
Perhaps amongst one of the major developments with www.tigers-bay.com has been that Members from British Forces Personnel Overseas Online have paid for the Web Hosting of Tigers-Bay.com.
